Bomba goes to Spain Dinner.
The Bomba boys have recently returned from their trip around Spain. Jesse and Shane embarked on their gastronomic journey to find inspiration in the food and wine to bring back home to Melbourne and share it with the public at Bomba, by holding 2 dinners and a lunch that showcase what they learnt and discovered in Spain.
The dinners and lunch are to take place on Sunday the 17th at 1pm then 18th and 19th of August 6:30pm Tickets are only $60 for a full tasting menu and include a Casa Mariol Negre Vermouth and a cocktail on the rooftop. Click here for the full menu.
They ate, drank and cooked their way around Spain with the knowledgeable guidance of Catalonian cuisine expert Cesc Castro. They hopped from market to bodega, restaurant to winery and everything in between.
They learnt the traditions of the gastronomic clubs and visited some incredible farms that are passionate about organics and local heirloom varieties. They discovered unknown red wine grape varietals that were only recently brought back to life from almost certain extinction; they cooked with some well-known chefs, ate at many fine venues and more bodegas than you could poke a chorizo at - and of course drank lots of vermouth.
On the subject of vermouth: after trying and sampling countless amounts of this fine substance, the guys fell in love with one particular local made Vermouth Casa Mariol Negre so much that they decided it must be shared with everyone. Bomba have started importing it and this will be the first time the Australian public will be able to sample this fine vermouth.
We can't wait to share our trip with you, these dinners are sure to sell out quickly so make sure you book early on. You can book via email or give us a call on 03 9077 0451.
